LODGING

  • We will reserve lodging on a rolling basis based on sign ups.

  • Currently available is a private home with 4 bedrooms, each with a private bath, located on Loreto street in the heart of the historic center of San Miguel de Allende.

  • Reservations are on a first-come first-serve basis

This house is located on Calle Loreto, one of San Miguel's oldest streets, in the center of the city, a half block from the artisan's market, 2 blocks to the main plaza, and 2 blocks from Santosha San Miguel & Float Sano.

The house is an eclectic mix of contemporary architectural elements with upcycled objects curated from the past. The house was remodeled with the intention of preserving the spirit of a house in a small pueblo with current architecture. This is Mexico from the 1950s and 1960s, not colonial Mexico, combined with the architecture of 2015.

There are four bedrooms, each with a private bath. Two bedrooms with queen beds are located on the first floor and open to a small back yard. Two more bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor; one with 2 single beds that can be made up as king, and the other with a double & a sofa (this bedroom is located at the front and does get some street noise, but its bathroom is the only one with a tub).

In total the has two terraces, a patio, and a small garden. The fully-equipped kitchen has a long dining table, and opens to the living room with comfy seating for all. Each room has a sense of quirky design and privacy, with plenty of separate spaces in the house to relax.

Traveling to San Miguel

San Miguel de Allende is located approximately 3.5 hours from Mexico City (MEX). The closest airports are Leon-Bajio (BJX) and Queretaro (QRO).

If flying into Mexico City, our recommendation is to take a taxi to Central del Norte then a direct bus to San Miguel de Allende on either ETN or Primera Plus.  If traveling with a group of 4+ people, arranging private transportation becomes similar in price per person.

If flying into QRO or BJX, we recommend arranging for a shared shuttle. Many companies in San Miguel de Allende provide this service.
